Lake Ouachita State Park Guided Tours

Lake Ouachita State Park in Mountain Pine, Arkansas, is a naturally beautiful area on Lake Ouachita. Explore quiet coves by kayak, go on a snorkeling adventure and join the fun and participate in an organized scavenger hunt. The scenic lake tour will introduce you to beautiful Lake Ouachita, and the hiking tour will take you through the national forest.

Kayaking

Paddle to quiet coves on a kayak provided by the tour guide. Your park interpreter will provide you with the opportunity to see Lake Ouachita up close and personal as you glide along the shore. Reservations are highly recommended for this Kayak Koving tour. For a romantic experience, take a leisurely kayaking trip as the sun sets. Buy your tickets at the Visitor Center. Meet at the Marina Boat Ramp.

Barge Tour

Take the Scenic Lake Tour and discover Lake Ouachita’s large size, unspoiled waters and scenic islands aboard a barge. Your park interpreter will explain the geology and history of the 40,000 acre lake, as well as wildlife common to the area. Reserve your space and buy your tickets at the Visitor Center. Meet at the Marina.

Guided Four- Mile Hike

Find out about the natural and man-made forces that continue to shape the scenic landscape of Lake Ouachita by walking the strenuous Caddo Bend Trail with your guide. Wear sturdy shoes for this exciting adventure, and be sure to bring along some water. Meet at the Caddo Bend Trailhead. There is no charge for this tour.

Geocaching

Take the whole family and use a GPS to search for a hidden “cache.” Bring your own, or borrow a GPS from the park. This is a family-friendly hike appropriate for children. Bring water and wear sturdy shoes. Meet at the Visitor Center. There is no charge for this tour.

Snorkeling Adventure

See Lake Ouachita from a new point of view by joining in a snorkeling adventure. You will boat to the snorkel spot by the shore or near an island, and you will receive snorkel gear and a flotation device. Reservations are required at the Visitor Center. Meet at the Marina.
